Enchanted Garden

Hi everyone,

This is the first outfit post I created inspired by a scenery photo.  It's a surprise that out of all of the outfit posts I have done, none of them have been based on a scenery photo.  Maybe it is the lack of greenery (winter), or just my general love/longing for the warmer months that made me fall in love with this photo.

Anyway, here is the look:

Simple vs. Statement

Hi everyone,

Here are two necklace types that are very popular this season:
Although these necklaces are quite different you can actually wear either of them on many of the same occasions.  Here are some ways to wear the two types of necklaces:

  • Jeans and tee (both)
  • Patterned dress (simple only)
  • Bright clothing (both)
  • A simple dress for example an LBD or a white dress (both)
  • Special occasion (both).

Which do you prefer?

Spring Jewelry

Hi guys,

The weather looks like it is finally starting to warm up!  And since it is starting to warm up I get inspired to wear some of my favorite things, rings and fancy jewelry.  I'm not inspired to wear jewelry in the winter.  Although I do wear two rings that I never take off all year round, it can get annoying when wearing gloves; I take my gloves off carefully (as not to disturb the rings).  I'd also like to wear dangling earrings and necklaces but it is annoying when your earrings and necklace get stuck to your scarf.  But I have to admit I do love wearing scarves.  Now that the need for winter accessories is decreasing I'm almost ready to break out some jewelry.  I put together this collage in my favorite spring colors.
What is your favorite spring accessory?

Spring Break

Hi,

I know different colleges have spring breaks at different times.  So it is very possible that some of you are on spring break right now, if you are I hope you are enjoying yourself.  Also for those of you who are not on break yet do you have any plans, any travel plans?  This spring break I will be going away (to some place warm).

Here are some nice items from www.dailydazzledealz.com, they are all reasonably priced:

Clock Pendant Necklace

Hi guys,
A while ago at a street fair I noticed a new trend: clock pendant necklaces (for lack of a better word/phrase/name).  They all had magical vintage look to them and were in all sizes.  I chose a smaller pendant (because I knew I would wear it more).  I have been wearing this necklace a ton and I love it.
You can press the button on the top to open up the pendant to see the time. It is almost as cool as a pocket-watch!

I am starting to see similar items in stores I think they are becoming a bit of a trend.

Skirt it up!

Hi guys,
I have always been a dress person in the summer months, but this summer I decided to wear more skirts.  I realized that for some reason I didn't wear skirts much at all; it was time to change it up and give my skirts their turn in the spotlight.  This is the result of my skirt frenzy. :)
Here I put together 3 looks, with 3 skirts for 3 different moods.

The romantic look features a classic A-line (or skater) skirt.  A-line skirts are timeless and can be dressed to basically any occasion. This look is made of soft colors, dainty jewelry and natural makeup.  Perfect for the daytime.

The party girl look features a form-fitting skirt.  The skirt is perfect for parties because of its cut and the floral pattern makes it perfect for spring and summer.  This fun look is made up of bold colors including the make up.

The casual chic look features an A-line skirt with a twist... shoulder straps.  The shoulder straps and worn finish to the skirt make it chic.  The look is played up with accessories and an unexpected bold lip.

Mermaid Necklace

Hi guys,
I made this necklace.  I love making jewelry and I'd like to share with you this piece.  I was really inspired by the season (if you didn't already notice from my last post). I kept the necklace in shades of blue and green with a couple bronze accents.   I strung chunky glass beads onto beadalon string because they reminded me of pebbles and shells in the sea.
